What do i do when am punched either by fear,lust,doubt,trials,rejection,failure,persecution etc?
What you have in you will show or come out when you are challenged or punched. Matthew 12:34-35,Proverbs 4:23.
An unfit Christian will bring out evil(weakness,defeat,succumb) in response to the opposing punch.
Who is an unfit christian?
One who rejects His source of power and strength,that is the daily fellowship with the Spirit through the word.
Remember in this fight,we are to put on the armor of God to be able to stand and attack back because failure to attack with the sword of the spirit will cause further uncontrollable thoughts which will reflect into bad habits.
Putting on the armor is not an event but a daily process.
How do I attack with the sword of the Spirit?
The word profession in the old king James version is translated as confession.We confessed to be saved according to Romans 10:9.
The sword is a two-edged, meaning God has spoken and you speak that as a confession to make it quick, powerful and sharper against any opposition exactly as Jesus did in Matthew 4.
This battle is a battle involving with strong minds (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:23) hence, spiritual fitness,renewing mind,knowing the right punch to throw(word) and attacking with the word constantly is a prerequisite in punching back because the devil is always seeking to punch. 1 Peter 5:8-9
Trust me, it’s going to be rough. You’ll get wounded. You’ll get dazed. The enemy doesn’t fight fair, and he’s very aware of your weak points. Don’t think for a moment that he won’t punch you right where it hurts.
But whosoever is born of God has already overcomed all this not about to.
Because,it is in the past tense but this victory is manifested by grace through faith and that’s the fight of Faith.1 John 5:4
It’s difficult to imagine emerging from any fight without scars. Even Jesus has scars. He showed them to the disciples after His resurrection (Luke 24:39). In fact, His scars were proof that He had died and came back to life. I think our scars bare the same resemblance. They are the evidence that we are overcomers. They qualify us to speak to those in pain,tests,persecution,defeat and say, “I’ve been there.”
No believer should accept defeat because we fight from victory unto victory even when you are down by a punch,have that mentality of a victor and make it your confession to stand again.
