VANGUARDS OF CHRIST DEVOTIONALS: WAIT; THE VISION IS YET FOR AN APPOINTED TIME.

TODAY’S DEVOTION

? 27th April. 16

TOPIC:
WAIT; THE VISION IS YET FOR AN APPOINTED TIME.

MEMORY VERSE:
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 02:3)

Many times we come across this word in the bible “wait” and we find it so difficult to comprehend and abide by it. ‘Patience’, we always say brings positive results. ‘Waiting’ is more persistent than having patience. You can run out of patience in anxiety or frustration but waiting means relaxing and hoping for the better.

I have filed an application and management requires that I wait, it means l do not know when but I’m desperately in need of their response so even if it takes years I will be waiting. It is so sad when Christians can’t wait on the Lord as we wait for our admissions or appointments. We have a lot of faith when it comes to these things than to the Lord. It looks like waiting for admission or an appointment is easier and possible than with God.

RECOMMENDED:

But we forget that horses and chariots are prepared for battle but victory comes from the Lord. The same thing applies here, he says he will glorify you in his own time and give you the health and peace to enjoy it. Is this not far better than striving on your own and failing at the end?

PRAYER: Lord Jesus help me wait on you for your appointed manifestation in my life. Amen

INSIGHT:
Brethren, let us learn to wait on the Lord and always remember this “the vision is yet for an appointed time.
