IDENTITY CRISIS 7
The next analogy is based on the book of 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This analogy displays a mystery that takes place when we get born again.
Analogy: 1.Spirit?2.Soul?3.body?
The number 1 man is the one that is saved and heavenly ready now and the number 2 man is in the process of been saved through a process called renewal by the word of God, whiles the number 3 man will be saved when he finally puts on immortality as 2Corinthians 5 puts it.
The problem in this association or structure is that, it’s believed the servant(body)is the one to be blamed when things are not going on right but the manager(soul) who controls decisions, thoughts,intellects,reasoning,will and feeling is the one to be blamed.
The creator who is God over this Association or structure does not interfere Himself in helping the number 2 man with it’s desires but has assured this structure or association to take His word always to deliver the will,emotions,thoughts and feelings from conforming to the world’s desires. Romans 12:1-3,Ephesians 4:22-24
This process strengthens the spirit man to over power these waging desires that contradicts his.
Once the number 1 man gains authority over the number 3 man,the number 2 man will then take orders from him.But if the number 3 man gains authority over the association, the number 2 man will do what the number 3 man wishes effortlessly.
After the spirit man dominates the flesh or the body,the will,intellect,decisions,emotions, reasoning and feelings of the soul takes orders from him the spirit so true holiness is then manifested and visible.
It’s noteworthy to know that the owner of this association is the spirit man,the administrator or manager is the soul and the servant is the body.
Apostle Paul helps with more light about this when he said he the owner disciplines the servant so that the manager will respect his will and desires. I Corinthians 9:24-27
Romans 8:13, For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6:19
When the servant is yielded to the desires of the owner it’s called the fear of God.The servant dares not disobey the owner.This gives a specific direction to the manager to follow as there’s harmony between the servant and owner for true success which is holiness.
The whole association is still righteous even if they fail to synchronize together because the new birth was reproduced by God whose nature is righteousness.He gave it as a gift to this association by grace to teach the whole association how to live right.Romans 5:15-17,Titus 2:11
Let’s continue with the analogy.
The number 2 man at some point in time will try to take it’s independent decisions but the spirit man should have the final say as the owner.
After been born again, the thought of stealing, masturbating,fornicating,lying, and disobeying God will still be rolling in your mind which is part of the soul but the spirit man has the final say to either allow it to happen or not?
The soul man is either governed by the spirit or flesh which is the body.
After the soul man thinks it’s independent thoughts, the final authority to bring it to fruition will be decided by the spiritman or the flesh.
Is it even possible for a born again believer to think stupid thoughts and evil thoughts? Yes sir! you can answer that yourself.
But is it a sign that you’re not born again? No sir! you are a spirit and the spirit man is saved and heaven ready.
Let’s look at some scriptural backing for this notion.
