It was all fun and joy at the Gye W’ayeyi 2016 Gospel Concert organised by the Obuasi branch of Xtreme Praise. For over three hours, Christians were showered with spirit lifting songs from the best Music groups and personalities you can find in the Golden City. We at Sindefeated.com were also around to provide live updates from the venue of the event. If you missed the updates, head over to our Live Events section for a quick catch up.
Now, back to the event. The Takoradi branch of Xtreme Praise flew down for the event and I must admit, the Oil City is lucky to have them. They rocked and stormed the venue and hardly could the audience sit down, unless one was tired from the dancing.
Before I continue with the main event inside the auditorium, let me give you a head start on what was happening outside. There was a red carpet show! Did you hear that? I mean, proper pictures were been taken outside before and after the event. Ask Daniel Ampofo of Ninety3 Studios, he provided the best quality shots of the events. Food sponsor for the event, Origee, provided some drinks for just a token. I bought mine and I think next time I must change my choice of fruit drink.
The evening lived up to its expectation as one of the best in the lives of Christians in Obuasi this year. The ‘voice man’, Michael Apraku led his team of host singers to alter and set straight every heart and soul for the coming of the Lord.
Exactly two weeks from yesterday, Spirit Intensity would be bringing Ultimate Praise 2016 to Obuasi and they were also around to shake up the foundations of Obuasi through their powerful ministration. Wow, I can’t wait for Ultimate Praise 2016.
Back to my experience at the Living Faith Assemblies of God Church inside Obuasi, the last performance by the guest artiste was yet to come. The “Keys of David” singer and the ever young Rev. Enoch Akwaboah Jnr was in the house to kill the game.
