TOPIC: A JOSEPH CALLING
MEMORY VERSE:
Psalm 105:17
And he sent a man before them– Joseph, sold as a slave
A careful observation of the happenings in life, suggests to me that the group of people that seem to encounter challenges the most, are Christians. But reading about the ordeal of Joseph, I am consoled that God always has a reason why He watches us to go through what we go through.
God is doing a unique work around the world today. He is raising up Josephs throughout the world. Some are still in the “pit” stage of their pilgrimage while others are heading towards fruitfulness. What does it take for a man to become a true Joseph?
It takes years of preparation and testing to be a true Joseph.
A true Joseph is one who is a provider both spiritually and materially. It is a person who understands they are simply managers of what God has entrusted unto them. The modern-day Josephs are prepared through their own versions of bruised feet and chains. It is often through the adversity of failed finances, marriage struggles, failed relationships and failed businesses.
As God uses such trials to prove them, He brings them out of their prisons and uses them mightily for His purposes and calling, thus to provide for an entire nation. Are you willing to allow God to do whatever it takes for you to become a true Joseph?
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I surrender to Your plan for my life and pray that you mould me for whatever calling you have in store for me.
INSIGHT: Be patient through those trials, you may be the next Joseph in the making.
