PERISHABLE THINGS DON’T DEFINE YOU 3
God was with Adam but not in him. Now,we have Him in us to express this lost glory through us who are now believers.
What should be our definition? There should be a reflection of God’s glory to everyone who encounters us either an unbeliever or a believer.
This encounter it self will minister salvation to lost ones that God can live in them as well because He is in us (soul winning). It also ministers to believers who are messing around to worship God truthfully and Spiritually. God has restoration and salvation for all men but he has given the authority to us His body to carry out this purpose, that’s manifesting His glory.
Instead of allowing our cars, clothes, phones, house and physical appearances to define who we are,we should be more concerned about the glory in us becoming visible for the eye to behold.
Because if we pride ourselves in these perishable things,we will be just like anybody out there. If your phone defines you and an unbeliever owns an upgraded version of your phone. Will that mean that they are more glorified than you are? How can a perishable thing define and imperishable being?
When you get to an auditorium or a gathering, the glory of God should be the first visible glance others should behold not any of your perishable things you possess.
Your neighbors, friends and strangers must notice a unique glance in you to distinguish you from them.
Nothing else does that but the glory. Don’t stick to those cliches like,”what will be,will be,I am the head and not the tail, or” it’s by His Grace”, whiles you are not responding to the Grace inside of you. (Philippians 2:12-13)
How do you I respond? Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.”
Is that our service? Not the church service? And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The glory is in you but must be responded to,to manifest.(2 Corinthians 3:18)
The same way you upgrade your perishables, the glory needs to be upgraded from glory to glory.
The manifestation of God’s glory from or through you for eyes to behold is your reasonable definition.Bringing the God in you to the outside to prove the existence of God is our assignment as believers. Very soon we will be looking at our call to glory entirely.
God bless you.
