MORNING DEW: David, the man after God’s own heart (Part 27)

MORNING DEW: 28-11-2018

TOPIC: DAVID, THE MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 19: 20-24

“Saul sent messengers to take David, and they saw a group of prophets caught up in prophetic ecstasy, with Samuel standing beside them leading them. Then the Spirit of God came on Saul’s messengers, and they also were caught up in prophetic ecstasy. They reported this to Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also were caught up in prophetic ecstasy. Then Saul himself went to Ramah, and he arrived at the large well that is in Secu. He asked, “Where are Samuel and David?” Someone replied, “They’re at Naioth in Ramah.” Saul went to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came on him also. He continued in prophetic ecstasy until he came to Naioth in Ramah. He also removed his clothes and was caught up in prophetic ecstasy right in front of Samuel! He fell down naked and remained there all that day and all night. That is why people say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”

KING SAUL SENT MESSENGERS AFTER DAVID

King Saul tried his possible best to kill the innocent David, the man after God’s own heart. This time he sent messengers to pick him at Ramah when he learnt that he ran there. The messenger got there at the time Samuel the priest was leading a group of prophets, which I believe David was present.

RECOMMENDED:  MORNING DEW: Lotto is an act of covetousness, avoid it (Part 1)

When the messengers saw them prophesying, they began to prophecy as well. They became unexpectant and one time prophets. Instead of arresting David, they were prophesying, probably blessing David.

Wow, a man after God’s own heart indeed! You can’t curse or destroy such people.

YOUR ENEMIES WILL GET CONFUSED TRYING TO KILL YOU

The killers of David became confused, they couldn’t arrest the man after God’s own heart, the man of destiny.

Beloved, the same way your enemies will go through. They will see you but they can’t touch you. They will come to your compound confused.

King Saul sent new messengers after the disappointment of the first messengers. They also caught up in the same experience, prophesying. King Saul became furious and had to go there himself. He did not just prophecy but fell down naked and remained there all day and night.

Nakedness means shame. Meaning David’s enemies embarrassed themselves, became shame, disgrace before him. David never prayed for this to happen, he didn’t need to do that.

Your own enemies will come to you crawling, asking for forgiveness. You don’t need to rain fire on them, just ensure that you stand well with God, you in God’s good book, the Book of Life.

RECOMMENDED:  MORNING DEW: GOD PROMOTES AND DEMOTES

Do God reign in your heart? Do you know His ways? Do you obey His Laws? Do you have Him as your Saviour and Lord?

If yes to the above questions, then stop shaking because the battle is the Lord’s. But if no, then accept Him now and enjoy His shelter.

This is a true testimony given by a Christian woman.

Some witches tried to initiate one innocent little girl. In the night her mother will place a Bible on her head so the witches will come and see fire instead of the girl. So one beautiful morning, one of the witches walked to where the girl and her mother lived, she met the woman on the street going to buy something. And guess what, she kneeled down in front of her and started confessing.

Beloved, your enemies will confess in front of you, they will bow before you in Jesus Mighty Name!

…to be continued…

Prayer: Father, cause my enemies to get confused and bow before me, in Jesus’ Name!

Amen!
