Memory Verse: Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do.
The background against today’s text Gen 18:17 was when the Lord and the angels rose up from thence, and looked towards Sodom with the intention of destroying the entire city where eventually Lot (Abraham’s nephew) and his family resided.
In the text the Lord said, “shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do”? The reason Abraham found such favor from the Lord was that, he obeyed when the Lord called him from his father’s family. Also at age 90, he obeyed the Lord’s instruction to get himself circumcised. He looked away from the pain he would go through, the shame and the disgrace and still obeyed God.
Beloved, the Lord wants to reveal His plan about your ministry, business, family and your future but He demands your total obedience to His Word. Always remember, our obedience to the Lord will help decode His plans for our lives.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to be obedient to your Word to receive your plans for my life.
