TEXT: PROVERBS 10:1
“The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.”
A WISE SON
A wise son or daughter is an obedient child.
Children who behave well. Children who know the likes and dislikes of their father.
Children who bring praise to their father.
Children who make their father proud. Children who make their father happy. They are the ones who make a glad father.
Children of God, are you making God proud? Do we make God happy? How do we live with people? Can we make people give God’s glory? Can our character speak out to unbelievers?
Beloved, you suppose to be a wise son or daughter of God. And a wise child obeys all the commandments of his Father.
A wise child respect the laws of his Father no matter how they are, whether they make sense or not. You can complain, “why did God say this?” but because you are a wise son you just have to obey. Stop complaining and obey.
A FOOLISH SON
A foolish son or daughter is the disobedient child. A child who brings grief to his father. A child who brings shame to his father. A child who brings disgrace to his father. A child who dishonours his father. A child who watches his father’s nakedness with pride. An evil child.
Christian, do you bring glory to God or disgrace? Do your act honour God? Do you represent God well in your work place? Do you represent God well in that school? Do you represent God well on earth?
A Christian suppose to represent God wherever he finds himself. We are God’s vicegerent on earth. How do we play this role?
In our dressing, how do we play this role?
In your communication, how do we play this role? In our dating, how do we play this role?
In our marriage, how do we play this role?
In our businesses dealings, how do we play this role? In our work places, how do we play this role?
“A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son brings grief to his father.”
What do you bring to God? Happiness or grief?
Make amends now with God.

PRAYER
I have realized my foolish acts Lord, forgive me and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ Name!
