TOPIC: FOOLS MAKE A MOCK AT SIN
TEXT: PROVERBS 14:9
“Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour”.
SIN
Sin is a violation of God’s Law. It is a canker God is not pleased with. It was sin that separated the good relationship between God and man in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3).Therefore, no normal human being will be happy separating himself from God due to sin. But Fools make a mock of sin.
WHO IS A FOOL?
A fool is a person with poor judgment or little intelligence.
“Fools say to themselves, “There is no God.” They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good”. (Psalm 14:1).
Fools are those who disregard God. People who think they know per their studies. People who have studied and become corrupt in the lens of God.
Those who practice evil are Fools.
They are the people who mock at sin. They make fun of sin because sin is their friend. You can only make fun of your friends when they make mistakes. When you are a friend to sin definitely you are a sinner. The saying goes “show me your friend and I will tell you your character” is seen here.
Is sin your friend? If you are a friend to sin, then you are an enemy to God. God hate sin. It was sin that brought Jesus Christ into this planet. He came to close that gap between God and man which was created as the result of sin (John 1:12; 3:16).
Come to Jesus beloved! Stop walking with sin. Sin is destructive, because it produces death (Romans 6:23). Sin can ruin your life.
Among the righteous there is favour, so be a righteous now and eschew sin.
Jesus is calling you to come out from sin and join Him.
There is no time to waste beloved.
The hour is NOW!
Prayer: Forgive me my sins Lord, henceforth I will live for you, in Jesus’ Name!
