“……. Seek ye first the kingdom of god, and his righteousness; and all these shall be added unto you (Mathew 6:33)
Paul bemoaned and lamented aver the selfish nature, and fanaticism portrayed by the Philippians Church. He grievously expressed his emotions, proclaiming with sincerity, the nature of some members of the Philippians church. He write in Philippians 2:19-21 that, “but I trust the lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you,… for I have like-minded, who will naturally care for your state, for all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ. Men have followed their destinies, forsaking matters that will extol the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
In our opening scripture, the lord Jesus made an authoritative statement, yet, persuasive and convincingly triggering men, to fellow suit heavens original intention for humanity. He said,” the primary quest of men in life was to seek first the kingdom of god”. When teaching his disciples to pray, he said,… “thy kingdom come , they will be done on earth as it is in heaven…”(Luke 11:12). The will of heaven is to establish the kingdom of god on earth, that is to say, to establish the kingdom in the heart of men.
The prophet of old, Jeremiah, via the inspiration of the holy spirit had said, the heart of man is desperately wicked…” (Jeremiah 17:9). The kingdom of darkness has taken it abode in the heart in human race, propelling them to oppose every instruction ordained by god for his benefit. News of danger and undeniable proofs of wickedness, have erupted fear in the lives of many. The light of the glorious gospel should therefore be preached, to frustrate the orchestrations of the devil.
It was Isaiah insatiable cry that, for Zions sake, he will not hold his peace, and for Jerusalem sake, he will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
So touching!! The whole mindset of Prophet in the days of his flesh was to beam the light of heaven, shattering all the schemes and devices of the devil, continually bringing glory to god and nullifying and halting the operations of the devil. The heavenly father aspects us to swim in the same grace, occupying till he comes, presenting the fruit of our labor as kingdom advancers and expanders.
The exemplary life of fruit. Ruth having exhibited the virtues of diligence earned Boaz favor. Boaz counsel to Ruth reveals a mystery unto us, “let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap…”(Ruth 2:9)To buttress this truth ,Jesus said in Mathew 13:44 that ,”the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field ,the which a man hath found, he hideth ,and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath ,and buyeth that field”.
Boaz opening the eyes of Ruth’s understanding to the kingdom .he urged Ruth ,to fully consider the field(kingdom),and ensure it grows and expands. Jesus in the same vein of this reality ,stripped himself of divine privileges, lost sight of all opposing factors, scriptures testifying o this reality says that ,”for the joy before him endured the cross, despising the shame…”
We are people .called of God to unveil the love of God through the kingdom; the wonderful thing is that you can manifest the kingdom life now, because the kingdom is in you. (Luke 17:21)
