For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20). God is very particular about His promises to mankind, and they are always precious if we will see it as such.
In Gen. 12 the word of God cam to Abram, He was to go to an unknown Land from his country and fathers house. In obedience to Gods word, God gave him a lot of promises. vs. (2-3). All God wanted was a covenant with Abram, because he was in his comfortable zoom but needed to break forth to be a blessing to many. Abram obeyed and journeyed on with nice brothers’ son, Lot.
God spoke to Abram in Gen. 15 about how they (descendants) will be afflicted but will prevail afterwards; they were going to spend 400 years in affliction. Gen. 15:13-15
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. 15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age Gen. 15:13-15.
In Exodus 3, God appeared to Moses when he was keeping his father in-law flocks. The agenda was simple, he should go and bring the people of Israel from Pharaoh. Then in vs. 8 and 17 God explained how the promised land looks like (Milk and Honey). After a lot of engagement with pharaoh and the people of Egypt they had their way through. One thing is they went empty handed but left with great possession, as God said in Gen 15: 14
And also, that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. Gen 15: 14
It took them 40 years to the Promise land, a land filled with Milk and Honey (Exx 3:8,17). Indeed, the promise land was a precious land. Things that was precious are exceptional, valuable and worthy. Though had occupants but the children of God were destined for that Land. The promise land was a gift to Israel. Everything He gives to his people are always precious and valuable. It doesn’t matter whether you qualify for it or not, because of his Grace and Mercy He will keep His promise. Though it may tarry but surely will come to pass. He prepares us and sends us to the promise Land. One thing is you can’t deny the process, you have to pass through it for you to have your milk and Honey. Let’s get hold of his promises well because they are precious.
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites (Exx 3: 8)
And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey (Exx 3: 17)
The promise Land is a Precious Land.
