MWACC18: Speaker Profile – Kwabena Okyere Darko

Kwabena Okyere Darko better known by his stage name as KOD, is a Ghanaian musician, instrumentalist, producer and arranger.
He was born in Ashanti Region, Ghana, and raised in Kumasi. Okyere started doing music when he was 9yrs old in his mother church, the Salvation Army Church central corps in Kumasi, but he officially came out as a musician in 2006 when he joined a group called New creation in Kumasi. He then decided to pursue music as an area of study at the University of Education, Winneba, for his first degree and currently reading Mphil program in music composition at the same university.

Okyere is a young talented musician who has worked with many people around the world. He has worked with great gospel musicians including Rev. Moses Ok, Diana Hopeson, Selina Boateng, Ernest Opoku, Oware Junior, O.J, Victoria Sarfo, Noble Nketia, Ike Osei, Isaac Amo, Bro Philemon Ackon, Goddey Nyametea among others.
Okyere is currently a signed Bassist for an international band called Resolve Band.
