Do Not Despise Spiritual Dignitaries by Rev. Nicholas Nyarko

God has given us instructions to follow if we want to succeed in life. The Bible is a very Practical and Instructive Book. Dignitaries in the GREEK MEANS, Glories, Authority and Those whom Honor is Due. When you are accompanied by such Spiritual Dignitaries, the Realm of the Spirit opens more and more for you. Every time you despise any spiritual dignity, God becomes angry with you. In the same vain when you accord them the due Respect and Honor due them you will go far. We will briefly limit ourselves to look at three Biblical Spiritual Dignitaries (fathers) – Husbands, Fathers of all kinds and servants of God.

TEXT: 2 Samuel 6:14-16, 20, 20-23, Ephesians 5:22-24, 2 Peter 2:10 and Malachi 1:6

• Husbands: They are Teachers and Instructors. Teachers and Instructors are life builders. (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:4-6). Don’t speak against the anointed one. (Ps 105:15)
• Fathers: fatherhood can’t be separated from responsibility. A good father should not be a burden or a prayer topic to his own children in his old age.  A Father who Double as a Church Worker [ ALL CHURCH LEADERS] must see his Children as his First Congregation and his House as Church Auditorium. Mothers, never instigate your children against their fathers. Whatever you do to bring shame to your father is mockery. Remember, father’s blessing. Micah 4:6, Genesis 27:3-4, 25-27. God in HIS own Sovereignty has bestowed this Blessings to Fathers ALONE.
• Servants of God: A prophet of God must be held in Honor, Respect and his Authority must be Maintained. When servants of God appears, respect them. The youth set out to dishonor Elisha (2 Kings 2:23-24). Showing dishonor to God’s messengers/servants shows dishonor to God. Give God, the right to act on your behalf.
