The message of Reconciliation
The message of reconciliation is of utmost priority to God as His holistic perception on getting man back to Himself dwelt on the concept. The gulf between man and his Maker needed to be bridged and concealed in unionism. The Apostle Peter speaks about the exceeding great and precious promises for those who through faith have become partakers of God’s divine nature.
In 2 Corinthians 2:18, Paul said, “And all things are of God who has reconciled us unto Himself by Jesus Christ and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation. To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”.
Jesus took the role of the conciliator to reconnect man to the Father. The Father needed a flawless person to spearhead the reconciliation process that will not mend the broken relationship but embolden and perfect the new relationship God would have with man.
The word reconcile in the Greek is “katallasso” which connotes to exchange. It literally means causing one thing to cease and another to take its place. The redemptive plan of God was vivid as Jesus who possessed equal verity of the Heavenly Father was made to conciliate man to God. The nature of God was at work in Him on His earthly days and the ultimatum reason for condescending to that state of humanhood was to bring man back to their original position God wanted them.
He empowered believers by sending forth the Holy Spirit to us to be highly operational as He was. Now, there is no enmity or alienation between God the Father and all those who have believed in the name of the Son because the Son willfully executed the redemptive plan of the Father.
